I'm looking to do a 9 minute motion comic project. This will be a resume/skill development project, but just because were not going to make any money doesn't mean it should be anything less than professional, something were all proud of and who knows, every popular cartoon/anime starts as a small production. The project is going to be fully scored and cast with local voice actors. While there is no deadline for this project, I would hope that we progress at a reasonable rate for a "spare time project." I know that creating quality art takes alot of time, I'm not asking team-members for a lot, just more than a little.
What I need help from?
1. Story board/panel artist. The story boards would be gray scale possibly with single color highlights in certain frames for emphasis (similar to something like schindler's list). These storyboards/panels would be organized in flash as if they were key frames of a full length animation, with the dialogue overtop.
2. Flash/after effects expert. This person is visually more of a camera man, turning the individual panels into a a scene, moving a "camera" around to give a scene life beyond a 2D drawing. Add motion to simple scene objects like a moving curtain, blinking etc.
3. Character Designers. By character design I mean everything visual about the character. As a writer I have a basic idea about what a character looks like but its the character designers that bring a character to life. Alot of pros that I talk to say that all their characters become sculptures before the panels are even started to give a 360 visual aid. In the past 99% of people interested in special projects show interest in being character designers because they think it is easy, but when I send them the page long description of the character they realize how difficult this actually is! This is a very important part of the creation process and not a job for those who give up easily!
Who am I?
Like I mentioned earlier, this is a nonpaying project. To give you a little on my background, I graduated with a degree in Electronic Media Production. My passion has always been for audio and sound design. After college I did an internship at a post-production audio studio that worked with various television shows and motion pictures, and became very interested in taking a refining step further to pursue a career in cartoons (the audio side of course).
Specific things about the story/art style desired?

ART/WORLD SYNOPSIS - Stylistically I'm looking for dark exotic art in a world with swords/magic and monsters. Sharp sketchy line art, emphasizing on motion and majesty. The landscape is mid-evil and very picturesque (not alot of pollution, lots of trees etc.). Monarchy is the common government and the people worship many gods, most of which actually exist. The god structure is a little different than common theology, there are 4 creators that aren't commonly known or worshiped (refered to as "Eldars" not gods), and dozens of beings known as gods that are more like popes than gods (elected officials prepped since birth to take over the gods name/domains and divine powers). Since the common god outlives 3 generations of man, the system is not common knowledge among worshipers. The soul is immortal, and leaves the body when a person dies. The 4 Eldars are the 4 cardinal winds and have a sort of ethereal adhesiveness that attracts a released soul and binds them to it (this is the part of the wind that we "feel") Magic plays an important role. The different magic categories follow under Nature, Elemental, Divine, and Evotion (strong evocated emotions). Hundreds of different "planes" exist, a plane is a realm with its own unique landscapes and inhabitants only traversable through magical means. The story takes place on the "prime" plane which is often credited as the first and intended plane of life. Examples of other planes in the story include the Shadow Plane, and The Plane of Light (most gods have their own planes).
STORY SYNOPSIS - The old shadowlord, a powerful practitioner of death magic, was slain while trying to murder his newborn granddaughter Felisha, a girl born with a strange allergy to the sun. The man who killed him was his very own personal assassin Kai, who was originally charged to do the gruesome task himself. But upon striking him down, Kai donned a curse that the shadowlord had held in secret for many centuries, the curse of the soulwell. Now haunted and driven mad, he's forced to kill and consume the souls of his victims in order to prolong his own life. It isn't until he runs into Felisha at a small port city almost two decades later, that he discovers he is suddenly in control of himself once again.
